Néstor García is a Venezuelan artist and researcher. He graduated from the
Cristóbal Rojas School of Visual Arts in Caracas (2007) and earned a degree in
Fine Arts, specializing in Painting, from the National Experimental University of
the Arts (2012). He has exhibited in various group shows both in Venezuela and
abroad, including the Salón Jóvenes con FIA (2012), the National Art Biennial of
Maracaibo (2012), the National Art Salon of Aragua (2012), the Sustainable
Chaos exhibition at the Central University of Venezuela (2014), and Tierra de
Gracia at Beatriz Gil Gallery (2019). He has also exhibited in Peru, Colombia,
Ecuador, and Spain. In 2023 and 2024, he participated in festivals and fairs in
Miami, such as the New Media Festival and the Doral International Art Fair. His
solo exhibitions include Gran Ferrocarril del Táchira (2014), Pinturas
Impresentables (2017), The Paradoxes of Representation (2018), and Punctum
(2023). In addition to his artistic work, he has conducted workshops and lectures
on image construction and its relationship with truth and mythology. He was a
founding member of the Casa de las Primeras Letras Simón Rodríguez in
Caracas and the pedagogy department at Abra Caracas Gallery. He has also
served as director of the Jacob Karpio Gallery and as a resident at Elvira Moreno
Gallery in Bogotá. He collaborates with the art magazine Tráfico Visual
(Venezuela).
